My 4 month old doodle is gaining about 3 lbs a week....is this normal? She weighed in today at 26.7lbs. She is going to be so big! Does this seem like an average weight for this age?

Sadie was at the vet yesterday and weighs 52 pounds at 9 months, and the vet didn't seem to think she'd get much bigger--maybe just fill out a bit. I believe that at 4 months she was somewhere between 25 and 30. I also remember thinking she was going to be huge because she was growing so fast, but I'm very happy with the size she is now (of course, I'd be happy with her at any size!)
Gavin was 32lbs at 4 months and 56 lbs at 6.5 months and ended up at 66 lbs. He is very tall and lean.
The 4 month weight formula worked out perfect for you too. So interesting how it seems to be very close in estimating full grown sizes, isn't it?
Luna gained really quickly like that that for a little bit - but she topped out at about 35 pounds.
Keep in mind she's a mini, but looking at her growth chart some of her most rapid growth was at 4 months.
She gained about 1-2 pounds a week for about a solid month and a half. She had another growth spurt at around 7 months before her growth finally slowed down.
Also - the 4 month weight formula worked for her too.
OMD - Bruin @ 4 months weighed 33.5 lbs - so that means he should weigh in around 77 pounds!
YIKES!!
Lucky! I wanted Knox to be BIG but he has topped out at around 66 pounds at almost 2, He's dad was an 80 pound English GR, so we were expecting closer to that size. Oh well -- we adore him anyway!
She probably won't be a heavyweight, but close to 60 lbs. Sounds perfect to me.
Maggie (Springer Doodle) was 22 lbs. at four months and is now 39 lbs. at 8.5 months. Seems the formula worked for us as well! I expect her to gain a few more pounds but not much.
