Fosters.. I have a free offer.........and its not a dog this time......:)

I am a resident of Penna.  We have an awesome rescue group called "Dogs Deserve Better" The founder seeks mostly dogs on chains for rescue.  She has in fact chained herself at a dog house at our state capital for 30 days at a time to try to get our lame state to do better with our lame regulations.  I've seen her, she's a tough nut and rocks.  Her organization has recently purchased the Michael Vick house, it is here they have established a dog rescue site.  They have taken that beautiful mansion and put dogs everywhere!  

Anyway, I digress.  If I were to spend money every time I wanted to save a dog or give, I would have no salary.  So I have purchased a book by her:  "Scream Like A Banshee" by the founder: Tamira Ci Thayne.  The book is for Foster Parents.  I purchased 2.  I am not a foster but wish to be someday.  I have read 1/2 of the book and it rocks.  I am offering my second book for free for the first person that answers this offer. I would like to have this book passed around to all the fosters of doodles or any other foster that can use an upbeat reminder of what its all about.  

I figure I supported one foster group and wish to pass on the benefit to our foster groups.

Sharon, This is a wonderful gesture on your part. I have a neighbor who keeps his dogs chained 24/7 and I can hardly drive by his house. I have reported him and as long as he provides food and shelter he is not breaking any laws. I wish I knew how to help these dogs, but in PA you see chained dogs all the time. Makes me sick. I have never fostered and don't think Fudge would do well with a foster, but I admire those who do. Don't be discouraged. People are extra busy these days and might not be checking DK as often. Thank you for doing this nice thing at the holidays!!

penna laws suck!  this gal from Dogs Deserve Better rocks me.She is not afraid to shake people up.  If you connect to her website, you will be sad at the folks that do what they do.  As I said, I only have so much money, I thought that buying this book from another dog needy site, I could pass it on for another dog needy site.  I sincerely wish I had  millions to fix all this stuff.  Thanks for everything everyone does, a calendar, a rogue purchase, etc.  You are all worthy.... thanks to all of you for a holiday thats supports our forgotten doggers,..

Alot of people here have outside dogs too. Some are chained, but most are not. problem is, noone has a fenced yard, so the dogs are wandering off, into the road etc.
