There aren't any. IMO. sorry. I use PC Finance. The price is reasonable but the coverage is only so-so. I wrote a discussion on this a while back. Most of the insurance companies are all underwritten by the same company - western financial. They are all more or less the same.

Thanks for the link Sherri

hmmm.... I wonder who puts lab cross and who puts poodle cross? Wonder if it makes a difference? I guess Cooper (ALD) is more poodle than lab....

it does, the poodle is always a few bucks more.

interesting.

We used PetCare with our previous dog, and I wouldn't recommend them. Our little guy had a LOT of health issues, especially as he got older, and not only did our premiums keep going up, but so did our deductable, until eventually they just cut us off.

Now we're using Trupanion. So far, so good, I guess. They pay out nice and quickly, if nothing else.

I can't believe they cut you off. That doesn't sound fair...

Pet Care is no longer available in Canada.

We are with PC financial.  They have three levels of coverage, so you can choose how much you want covered (and how much you will pay per month).  I think we have the middle plan which covers all emergencies and illness, just not routine care, shots etc. We have a $100 deductable and then get back 80% of all bills after that.  We made a claim last year and got our money back really quickly.  The only thing is that the premiums do keep going up every year, but that is just the insurance business I think.  I figure that it is worth it in case one of them gets really sick or needs orthopaedic surgery, because then you are looking at thousands of dollars for treatment.
