Sounds intriguing. Banks is now on my to read list.
Good, let me know what you think!
I'm reading Inside of a Dog and I haven't been able to "get into it" yet. Anyone think it's a good read?
I couldn't finish Inside of a Dog either.
I like mystery, historical fiction, some current fiction and some science fiction. I do no read horror as it gives me nightmares
Books I would recommend: Racing in the Rain, A Dog's Purpose, both told by dogs.
All of the Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie Brown books, fiction that is told by a woman and her dog and her cat.
All of the Dick Francis and now Felix Frances (son) books/ mystery - good guy books
All of the Judithe Merkle Riley books - historical fiction with a strong female main character - start with A Vision of Light
Mixed fiction: 1000 White Women, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, The 19th Tale, Between Georgia, Miracle at Santo Fico, Sarah's Key, Middlesex ( fiction butmay not be for everyone, about a child growing up as a girl who is really a boy/ not a hermaphrodite) The Five People You Meet in Heaven ( the only one of his books I have liked)
A new author to recommend. I haven't seen her recommended here yet, but I just finished reading "A Secret Kept" by Titiana de Rosnay. I couldn't put it down! The author is a French woman who also wrote "Sarah's Key". I read it and loved it also, so when I saw another book by the same author, I had to get it. I think these are the only two book she has written, but I will be watching for more books by her.
Thanks. I read Sarah's Key and found it very interesting.
Stephanie, I just bought that book for each of my daughters for Christmas. My oldest daughter (27) said she really liked it. I actually found it on a list that said it was the #1 romance or something...LOL!! I guess I had better get reading. Both my daughters loved The Hunger Games series and one cannot wait for the movie.
If this is the book by Diana Gabaldon I have the whole series Stephanie, you are more than welcome to borrow them :) This is my favorite series of all time! Let me know and maybe we can fit in a doggie play date too....

I have been reading An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon and am really into it now. It is part of the Outlander Series and has two settings, American Revolution and 1980 in Scotland. I love the main characters. There is something about time travel, but I haven't figured that out yet.
The next book after Echo is due out early 2013. I just reread the whole series, again.
I think I am going to do that also, but get the books from the library. The series would be something I would be interested in but I got Echo on my iPad because I wanted to try it out. So you have read the whole series more than once. They must be very good!
