I have been trying to figure out if Greenies get the thumbs up or thumbs down? Does anyone know where they are made and if their ingredients are sourced from USA?

Kate, I've heard too many bad things about Greenies to take a chance. Here's a link to another discussion which contains some good ideas for chew treats that are long lasting:

There are also dental chews that seem safer and contain better ingredients than grenies, if you're looking for teeth cleaning primarily.
Antlers, marrow bones, and Himalayan chews are all good ideas.
We have a lot of other discussions here about this, if you want to do some searches in TFG discussions, including some good sources for lower priced antlers.
Karen thanks so much for the link! Louie has antlers but he is not impressed with them. He also has Himalayan chews, but when they get small enough he will try to swallow the whole thing, so that worries me. I will for sure look for some good USA made marrow bones.
Many grocery stores sell them in the butcher case, and some will cut them to order. Otherwise, you'll find them in the freezer case of the smaller boutique type pet supply stores, and you may find some exotics...bison, ostrich, etc.
As a side note, I found out today that Louie likes grapefruit! Um, okay, Louie. Whatever floats your boat!
Now that's a first for us. We've had doodles who like melon, but I think Louie is the first to like grapefruit!
Early on - I bought Greenies for Shelby and she digested/tolerated them well. The reason I chose to stop is quite honestly is because they are expensive for a very short chew (1-2 minutes). I've found other things that last longer that she enjoys just as much. Now - the Greenie pill pockets... are a life saver in my household! We use them every month for our heart worm medication and any other time Shelby needs to take a pill.... she loves them, but gets then only when necessary!
