Thanks for the info.   Lynette

in my experience, goldens tend to be bigger - taller, broader, and often cough, fatter. Not saying any here are, but those I see coming into the store!

I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case... Luna has a tendency towards plumpness so we have to watch how much she eats fairly carefully!

I also see a lot of "broad" goldens and goldendoodles at the dog park.

I just read this article, give it a read and see if you agree or disagree. We may have to do a poll.

I remember reading that article when I was thinking about getting a doodle.  Her GD description fits Gaving to a T.  I have heard it said the Golden Retriever is the life of the party and Goldendoodle is the drunk at the party.  Stand by for a picture of Gavin wearing a lampshade on his head!

I see lots of Luna in their goldendoodle description!  Her coat doesn't look like it will ever get to the usual full goldendoodle length, but she's still young and she's also a mini.

Understatement incoming:

"Their mouth is more active when they are puppies and you have to train them not to be mouthy, because they’ll use it on you somewhere"  .... Luna's nickname was "Land shark" when she was little...

Also, this is definitely true:

"They are happy, affectionate, and love to roll on you." - If I take a nap with her on the bed, she basically tries to sleep ON my head.  If I'm on the couch, she MUST be touching me.  Never mind chewing her bone peacefully beside me, she's usually ON my lap chewing.
