I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with their Australian Labradoodle getting car sick?  She is very calm in the car and lies down but I still after 2 years have to give her gravol.

I had one or two early incidents between 2 and 4 months with Shelby getting car sick.  Now... she only gets sick if I go somewhere in the car without her.  She loves her car rides.  Hope you get some good advice to manage the issue.

I did have a problem for awhile, everytime we got into the car Logan would get sick.  I even took him on little drives every day so that he would get use to the movement.  The only thing that helps and has been working is when I blast him with cool air.  I make sure that the vent hits him directly and this has helped. Good Luck it can be messy!

Sasha is my Goldendoodle and never once got sick in the car.  Oliver on the other hand would puke and poop in the car arrrggghhh.   When we picked him up from the breeder we drove a couple of seconds down the street and the threw up, thank God my BF had a weewee pad on his lap.  Ollie proceeded to puke 2 more times that day, then every time I would put him in the car to take him to the vet which is about a mile from my house he would either puke or poop, poor guy would get so nervous and  what a mess to clean up too !!!  I had leather seats so it was not as bad as cleaning up poop off of cloth seats.  After a few times of that I wised up and did not feed him until we got home.   When we would take long trips he would eventually do something in the car, I was so reluctant to take him out in the car.  Finally when he was about 9 months old he grew out of it.  I read up on it and they say that if you keep them looking forward they do not get as sick as looking out the side of the car, I guess it is a visual thing at some point.  I know some dogs never grow out of it but I am glad Ollie did.
