How does your doodle eat treats or kibble from a kong, or kong like treat dispenser?
My inlaws dog Abbey the Akbash cross (1 yr) eats her food seriously fast. Faster than Cooper did as a puppy. She will eat 2 cups of food in 10 seconds. We have tried so many things - Coopers slow feed bowl, spreading kibble onto a cookie sheet, even tried Cooper Aikou but she struggled to figure that one out.
So we bought her an Orbee Orbo (the pink and blue one)
It took her a little while to figure it out, but it slows her down wonderfully. We have to fill it 3 times (she now gets 1 1/2 cups) and it takes her well over 5 minutes (I havent actually timed her, maybe I will tonight). Cooper of course felt left out, so we fed her in her Aikou, but she still kept looking at Abbey's Orbo. I cant find Coopers kong though I know we have had it out since we moved to the inlaws, so we bought her an Orbo too (the yellow and orange one that glows in the dark)
Abbey will pick up her Orbo and drop it on the floor to knock the kibble out, and nudges it with her nose.
Cooper will lick each and every kibble out, sometimes standing, sometimes laying down, and will occasionally gently tap it with her foot. Abbey eats her food just a little faster than Cooper (they both get 1 1/2 cups per meal).

We tried the kong gizmo and it worked great but Owen managed to unscrew it and chewed it so that it was irreparable! They both eat in seconds even with the slow-feed bowls. I will look at this Orbee contraption. Thanks for posting!
I have Orbees and they are one of the few toys that have lasted for a long time and kept Luca's interest. But I have never used them to feed the doodles, just for fun.
Willow is the fastest kibble inhaling puppy on this side of Mississippi. :)
We tried Kong Wobbler and Omega Paw Treat Ball. Both works, but it's soooo noisy on our hardwood floor. We tried giving them in her crate, and it was still noisy against bottom and wall of the crate. Finally, we scattered kibbles on her dog beds one inside her crate and one in the kitchen, and that was the best solution we had.
We have other treat dispensing toys, starting from Puppy Kong to intricate "puzzle" toys. Willow gets too excited and impatient and makes so much noise with them, and she doesn't want to do them by herself but wants us to be engaged, i.e. get the food out of them for her. (Yes, Master...)
I have only given Fudge and Vern peanut butter in a Kong. They are not interested in any of the treat balls. I guess it is too much work for my Doodles :)
We've never had to slow down Sedona's eating. Quite the other way around! She's slow, deliberate, picky, and dainty. My daughter, whose Lab will nearly take off your fingers as you hand her a treat, is constantly amazed at how Sedona must first sniff a treat, then daintily take it from your fingers! When she eats from her bowl, she's equally precise. There are times that she'll leave half of her food and the bowl looks like someone has carefully divided the food, leaving a nice, clean edge. I guess "someone" has.
Haley has a Buster Cube. When I have to leave him for serveral hours I put some kibble in it for him. Also, when the weather has been too bad to play outside I put his whole meal of kibble in it. He loves his Buster Cube and has gotten real good at getting the kibble but it does slow him down. It is pretty noisy rolling around on hardwood floors but it's better than playing ball in the rain.
Cooper had a buster cube for treats. she loved it, but ate the inner piece twice so we gave up replacing it
How in the world did Cooper get the inner piece out? We have never taken it out and Haley hasn't either.
I only use the Kong to dispense treats and keep the anticipation going a little longer.Sadie bounces it on the floor until she gets them to fall out.Once the treats are all gone she lies down to have a look inside to make sure one more treat isn't hiding
LOL. She eats her regular meals out of a bowl..
I bought a large Kong dispenser for Monty when our picky eater has decided he does not want to eat his kibble from the bowl on some days. So to make him eat, we would use Kong and he loved it. Ever since I started using toppings and now Instinct raw from Nature's Variety in his kibble, we have not used Kong for a while.
this one is cool, I like the wobbler though made by Kong also. They have to work a little harder for the treat or food.
