This picture was in my local paper today. Caption: People Do The Darndest Things For Their Pets
Michael Antoniotti strapped his Jack Russell terrier's cage to a wagon and took him for a walk following leg surgery. Dodger was confined to a cage for six weeks after having his cruciate ligament repaired. Antoniotti said he did it because he didn't want the dog to get bored. A neighbor snapped the photo proving that we actually do crazy things for our pets. (Photo courtesy of Ed Kowalewski of Norton)
I think many of us here on DK would do this and even more.
Many of you know, I get my dogs their very own Couch, which has recently shown up around here again. My husband makes all the treats in the house. etc etc Come on, be honest. We promise not to make fun of you ( wink wink)
What have you done that would get you a caption: People Do The Darndest Things For Their Pets

Yep this sounds like normal stuff to me! LOL! When people accuse me of spoiling Tara I just respond with" No, she's just WELL cared for!" :)
totally normal everyday stuff.
Jennifer - You are a great doodle mom! Wow! Now, that's love! For us, we almost spent as much money on Bexter as we did the boys for Christmas! Yep...We spend more money for Bexter's hair to look good than mine!
We also did not take a summer vacation last year because of Bexter! (This summer will be a different story...)
Here are the table and steps I mentioned in another post recently...
Because our living area faces the backyard. DH made this set up so Tara can look out of the front window where all the action is going on! This room would be a dining room for normal other people but is an office/doodle room now! :)
This was the preliminary stage. The stairs have since been carpeted and turned to face the table more directly for easier access. She had a hard time making the turn at the top! That is her 1001 Dalmatians Blanket on the table.

Princess. HA.
Okay, I have a steps for my elderly cats. No joke. Ours are also homemade. These are very nice.
'Fraid so!!! Oh wait, NO, she is just well CARED for!! LOL!
I will tell DH that his steps have received the DK Seal of Approval!
:) Paws on, girl
Oh my gosh this is great!! I asked my DH to make a small platform step for Myla. When we are out in the backyard Chloe stands with her paws on the window sill and Myla tries to copy her but all we can see from outside is her crazy hair. I feel so bad for her! I tried the regular doggie strps and she was afraid. So I need like a good size platform for her to join the peep show!!
You are very lucky Tara!
I think you should show this to your DH and shame him into making a platform for little Myla!!!
Nothing shames him-my Christmas tree that I undecorated 3 weeks ago is still sitting in my living room!
What a great idea. We need to see the final version, though. LOL
Monty is a standard size, but since our bed is higher than a normal bed (thanks to the drawers below it), I was afraid he might hurt himself jumping up and down. He had no problem jumping up and down, but you know, you need to protect your fur baby. So I got these cubes in a furniture store to serve as his steps. And by the way, I went back and returned the two black ones so all of the three cubes are white. :-)
I don't have one but I will work on it....
