Lani's First Romp In The Snow

Turns out Lani LOVES the snow!  Her and her sister were having so much fun running and playing.  But, against the white of the snow I can really see how much Lani's coat has changed colors.  It is getting really dark!  Has everyone ever seen a cream colored doodle turn dark???

WOW she looks just like my Sasha and her hair is exaclty the same type of curl - very poodly :)  Sasha was very light cream color when she was a puppy, now she has darkened up and has more markings of a golden.   Sasha is darker on the back, and on the top of her head and bottom of her ears just like your dog - they look so much alike they can be twins :)

Awww :)  Maybe they are related somehow.  Does yours have Rutland Manor and Tegan Park lines?  I kept telling my husband outside that Lani is changing to an oatmeal color that's the only way I can describe it.

Sasha is a goldendoodle FB1 (I think) Dad was a standard poodle and Mom was a goldendoodle.  Sasha is considered apricot, she is not as light as Lani but the hair curl and texture is exactly like my Sasha's.  Oatmeal is a good color description - LOL :)  Lani is so beautiful.  Sasha's nose is changing color too, she just turned 2 this past October and her nose is like a light brown color now and not black like it use to be.

I think that will the pale orange of the ears and back, Lani is considered to be an apricot-- One of my doodles is that way too--and has apricot between her toes so they always look dirty

Sooo cute!!!!!  I think you might be correct because it's funny that you say that her feet always look dirty.  When Lan's coloring started to change I kept thinking she was dirty, but I kept looking at her hair and realized it's her coloring.  Even when people come over they ask why she is so dark in certain places and I explain to them that's how her coat grew, lol, she's not dirty.  So maybe Lan is apricot.
