After lots of research and calling local stores I finally got some boots for Cooper. I was undecided between the Muttlucks fleecelined http://www.muttluks.com/product_home.php?cat=2 and the RuffWear Grip Trex http://www.ruffwear.com/dog_boots

I liked the grip trex because they had rubber soles which seamed more durable and would have more grip. However, the regular shoes which got great reviews arent waterproof and the ones for snow had really bad reviews. Nowhere near me sells them so I would be guessing on size and comfort

I like the Muttlucks because they come in pink! Cooper, being chocolate, looks really good in pink! And they are sold pretty much everywhere so they must be good right? They also have great reviews.

I went into DHs work (a pet store). They sell the cheap version of muttlucks - Hotdoggers so we tried some on for size and comfort. Unfortunately they are a franchise and order from a warehouse so couldnt order what I wanted. Not like the pet store we used to work at in another city.

I called round other stores in the city to see if anyone had them. One store said they had mutlucks but when i asked if they had the regular or fleece lined they girl said Id have to go in and look. Errr, no thanks! I found 1 store in town that had the ones I wanted

They retail for $53.90 (plus tax and shipping I assume) on the muttlucks website, I got them for $46.99 plus tax = $53.10! So I was happy.

It took me a while to put them on her - they are a tight fit, but it means they wont fall off. She galloped like a horse for a while, but I took her and the inlaws dog out for a play in the snow and she was just fine! They all stayed on!

Its only day 1 but so far im happy with my purchase. i may order the regular grip trex for summer

Not the best photo - shes part way through a brushing with our new Les Poochs brush but it shows her pretty shoes

I also bought some pretty pink fleece to make a sweater/liner for her rain coat as her fleece lined coat is too small. Photos to come!

Oh these are SO cute! She doesn't mind them being on then?

All these doodles look great in their boots!!!

Just bought some the other day and you'd think Maddie had broken legs. How long does it take for them to get used to them?  Don't know if it's worth keeping them or not.

it took Cooper a few minutes of walking funny then she was fine. I recommend you put them on, and give lots of treats, then go straight outside to play or go for a walk. Then they tend to forget they have them on

The instructions that come with the Muttluks say to put them on and then go directly outdoors. I let JD know that we were going to play fetch, which is his favorite thing in the world, so he was focused on the ball and not the boots. They do much better with them outdoors than indoors. Of course, this is the wrong time of year for ball playing, but most dogs are excited about going out for a walk, too.

How cute is this Doodette!  Those shoes are awesome!

Aww cute booties :)

It's so funny how you can see how doodles are mostly fluff when you stuff their fuzzy bear paws into a pair of boots!

I got the medium for Cooper. She is 60lbs if that helps... I drew her feet on a piece of paper and measured (not too accurate because of the fur) then used the sizing chart online. I think they would work well in preventing Molly from chewing a sore, but a sock night work well too if you dont plan on using boots for outside too
