Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Quite often new members come here looking for information about a breeder or breeders they are considering.  I want to remind everyone that ASKING for feedback is 100% permitted.  What is NOT permitted is public reviews of those breeders.  It is up to the members responding to follow our guidelines and respond privately--it is NOT up to the person seeking feedback to police responses.

The new members need to be informed that they should ask responders should post on their page or "friend" them and send private messages. Maybe you could add something to this effect right where members sign up.

I wish that new members would actually read the Guidelines. I know they have to say they did, and agree to abide by them when they sign up,  but it's obvious to me that a lot of people don't read anything before jumping right in and posting.

Well, that's when the old timers come in handy : )

When F.J. took out a page, I was urging him into chat that night.   I kept waiting and waiting and I finally turned around and asked, " What are you doing?  Why is it taking you so long?"

He turned around and said, " I have agreed to read these guidelines first.  Just give me some time"

I was shocked.  Have faith. Some actually do what they are supposed to do when asked.

What a man who reads directions?  Wow, wonders never cease!

Wow, what a guy. I forgot he had a page.

It's so confusing researching labradoodles. Once you think you have found something reliable and think you are getting at least informed about the history, you read about puppy mills and other information. The price differences, what is a real labradoodle, whom should you buy from etc, all lead to different conclusions and varying responses. It's hard to know what is the truth and whom you should be buying from.

Ian, you are welcome to ask specific questions in the forum.  You can ask about specific breeders, and general questions without mentioning names and get member feedback here.  It's only specific breeder feedback we don't permit in the public forums.

I wish I would have asked about an Orlando Breeder who just took my deposit and I have no puppy.

Now they are making me look bad instead of them.

Does anyone have experience with Bay Lake Doodles in Orlando? I think I have been scammed out of my $250 deposit but they are really giving me a hard time.  Should I just give up? I don't want a dog from them now, but only make $300 per week and it really hurts the old pocket book.

Did you pay with a credit card? If you did you could easily just dispute the charges.

Judy there is the specific issue you've just encountered you can ask about and get feedback freely here in the forum---but you'll need to start a new discussion or else few people will actually SEE your question within this unrelated discussion and you won't get the feedback you desire.  And you can ask about Bay Lake Doodles, but ask for private feedback on experience.  I don't know many DK'ers with doodles from them, but I've heard of them. No personal knowledge.
