Recommendation for steam/spot cleaner for carpet?

Having gotten the puppy to adulthood (with fewer accidents than I expected), many parties, and several aging cats (gack--hairballs), it's finally time to buy new carpet.  I figured it's also time to buy a carpet cleaner (thinking a spot cleaner, not a whole carpet cleaner) that does a better job that I can do on hands and knees with Resolve!  Anyone have any good suggestions?

I have the spot bot pet and LOVE it.

I just use the hose for all the accidents because it uses less solution and is quicker than running the circle thing on a whole cycle.

Spot Bot here too. Works great, and I use it for many things besides dog accidents. Nice for freshening up upholstery.

I  love my little Green Clean Machine (the Spot Bot wasn't out yet).  But I don't use the Bissel soap they recommend.  I use only Nature's Miracle on my carpet. Nature's Miracle works on all kinds of things, not just pet related.  Plus it doesn't suds up, so you don't have to worry about the spot attracting more dirt if you don't get all the product out.  In fact, for accidents, I clean the spot well and then saturate it with NM and just let it dry.

Yup...I couldn't have coped without it during potty training.  Even now, Rua or PuffDog will urp something up.  The Bissell Spot Bot to the rescue.  I add Nature's Miracle as the 'formula'.

Just what would you do with 4 Doodles!  We had them over for a visit to check us out before they went on the trip and Lilly managed to piddle at least twice while she was here.  I went downstairs and dug out the machine and "out went the spot"! 

After we took care of Lilly when they went to the sub convention, I really tried to get Mimi Linna to leave Lilly with us permanently...the 'girls' got along famously.

Dori, I would probably go nuts...LOL....but, it would be fun getting there :) I really think Mimi Linna should have given in...after all, she could get another dog and Rua would be happy....LOL! I feel the same way about my DD's French Bulldog. I want to steal him. Love the pictures.

Thank you Laurie...my fav is Lilly chasing Rua!  It is incredible how quickly I forgot about potty training and having to watch a puppy like a hawk, but even after having Miss Lilly here, I really wanted to get Rua a sister.  Now, with what's going on in my life, that isn't going to happen.  :-(

Now that's a good idea!  Perhaps Rua could follow in Bocker's footsteps!  She could be "Rua the Goldendoodle...she's one cute red-haired Doodle"!  (I was singing that to Bocker's theme while I wrote that.)

I got a Spot Bot pet yesterday at Target.  Using Nature's Miracle as the formula is a smart idea.  THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP--it's like having a research team at my fingertips, only better!
