A million thanks for all the wonderful advice and kind words regarding my poor hurt girl. My daughter and I managed to get her up on my bed last night and there she slept without moving. This morning, she jumped off, very carefully, on her own and is not limping at all. She is very, very subdued and feels incredibly sorry for herself. I will wait a few more days and see how it goes and if no improvement, I will take her in. Once again, many thanks for such an outpouring of advice and care....You are all amazing and I am soooooooooo happy to have so many caring friends who understand the love and adoration I have for my furkids. Bless you all xxx

Whilst romping and playing this morning at the local dog park, one of the dogs was being attacked by another dog. The dog that was being attacked (a very large dog) was promptly picked up by it's owner because he/she was yelping and the other dog would not leave it alone. Anyway, my nosey, also extremely very large doodle, Frankie Girl, went over to investigate the scene and in the process got trod on by the man (6ft and very large) carrying the also very large dog. Frankie screamed out in pain because he unknowingly stepped on her left paw. Limping away and flopped down and gave us "the look". Now I am pretty sure there is nothing broken, but probably incredibly bruised. She is walking on it but sort of dragging it a little. I know any form of trauma to our feet is horrible and takes forever to heal. My question to my fellow doodlers is 1) Do  you think I could give her a Motrin to take down the inflammation and 2) Should I rush her off to the vet or wait a few days???

I hope Frankie heals quickly.

I missed your original post somehow and I'm so sorry your girl got hurt at the park. What a strange accident! I'm glad she is improving and hope she is back to her happy self soon!

I am so glad Frankie is mending.  I hope you all are coming to the Seal Beach get together on Feb 25, so I can give her a big doodle hug and kiss.

Hi Nancy. Yes, Frankie Girl is nearly back to her normal self, but not ready to romp and play in dog parks yet. Mind you, I am sure she will be fine and ready for our meet up on the 25th. What time is everyone getting there? I am excited to see everyone again...it's been way too long....

12:30.  We are really looking forward to it because we haven't been to once since September.

Smashing...we will see you then:) Looking forward to it.....Even Frankie Girl but she is going to keep her paws away from any big person's feet this time.....

Somehow, I missed your first post, too. Glad Frankie is getting better!
