Update on Sammi Doodle's Recovery

For those of you who missed the original post, Sammi was struck by a car and severely injured several weeks ago. I posted a request for prayers and positive thoughts for him and his family. And once again you wonderful DK'ers came through for a doodle in need.

Thank you so much and here is an update from Summer, Sammi's mom,  on Sammi's condition:

"We got the results back from Sammi's blood test and urine analysis, nearly everything is back to normal ranges. We are especially thrilled by the liver enzyme results because it shows that Sammi's liver is no longer "leaking" for lack of better words. (Please forgive my clumsiness here, speaking about or explaining lab results is not my forte.) Since a couple of the ranges were still high, we are going to repeat the blood tests in a week. I think the bruising of Sammi's liver and heart were what scared me the most, but these test results are solid evidence that there isn't a hidden ticking time bomb and I can trust that Sammi will truly be ok.

Sammi is improving; he's stronger, is eating more, wants to play and actually went for a short walk with Steven today! I was able to brush Sammi on the left side of his body which he seemed to enjoy, though it will probably be awhile longer before I can feel comfortable brushing him on his right side, the side on which he was hit."

Sammi, Steven and I would like to thank each member of our DoodleKisses "family" who responded with love, prayers and positive thoughts for Sammi after he was hit by a car last month.  We are incredibly grateful and humbled by the outpouring of empathy and concern.  Sammi is doing great and would like to give a big slurpy doodle kiss to everyone if he could.  I was able to take two pics of Sammi today and wanted to share them with you; I hope this works.  Summer (Sammi's mom)
