Are they grooming each other or having a snack? :o)

I'm wondering if other DK-ers with two doods notice that they sometimes groom each other. Sophie is always cleaning out Winnie's eye gunk and ears (maybe it tastes good??) and kissing his face (which I notice she does a lot when he's having an itchy allergy fit but maybe he has some food stuck in his beard). Tonight I was cutting Sophie's nails and I accidently got the quick. She yelped and bled a tiny bit and sulked a whole lot. The cutest part is that Winston is now licking her paw, maybe he just likes the blood flavour, but I like to think he's kissing her boo boo all better.

What do you guys think? Are they grooming each other or are they just tasting something yummy?

Rosey and bandit always eat each other eye boogers and kiss each other...I think it's natural for pack Mayes to do this.

My three bulldogs always groom each other, ears, eyes, head,  and face area especially. It seems very soothing and comforting to them. When Zach is having a quite moment they will groom him just a little bit. He is now also starting to lick them a little (a huge improvement from always chewing on them), I imagine as he starts to calm down he will also be invited to the grooming party.

that's cute! I always figured it was the puppy in Sophie that made her do it, and that she would out grow it. But maybe not...

I think it's probably some grooming and some noshing. My dogs never do this.

ah Dakota is a good girl. Maybe it's girl thing, a nurturuing behaviour. Winnie rarely kisses Sophie back.

Boca and Rosco are constantly kissing.  I think Boca starts it, though, because Thule and Rosco never did and Rosco's beard is always stinky =)

Um, I hate to break this to you, but dogs love stinky, yucky stuff, and if it comes from some other creature's orifices, so much the better. They eat used Kleenex and feminine products from the bathroom wastebasket.  They eat cat, goose, and rabbit poop. Winston and Sophie are not grooming each other, lol.
