This was released about a week ago and I found it fascinating.  Thought maybe some of you would too.

Gosh, that is really interesting.

I know about Pandas since it's in my professional area. I find this stuff fascinating! But this article had some information that is new. Thanks.

I had never heard of it until this article.  I would love to know more.

My area of interest is prenatal exposure/maternal disease.  I have one son who is extremely ADHD. I know he was that way in utero. Always wondered if it was something I experienced during that pregnancy (like 4 hornet stings at one time or something else...)

The in utero whatevers are the tough questions. Here's a batch of articles:

Thanks, F.  The article about the mother's autoimmune disease is particularly interesting to me..

Oh, I didn't read all those links.

Wow, who would have thought?

I've heard of the disorder, but did not realize the extent of it, also IVIG is a very powerful and useful treatment for certain autoimmune diseases.

Interesting. I too, have a son who goes through periods of OCD. He is much worse in the winter months with Feburary the worst for anxiety symptoms.
I don't think there is hope for him, but this certainly might help many other families who are dealing with OCD.
Linda, is it your second son?

Yes.

Isn't winter considered "strep season"?  Just a thought.

There is also an issue with the second son.  Many thoughts on that theory

Very interesting. Glad she got her son back now I hope the awareness spreads!
