I bought Luca a horse ball and wrote an discussion about it.
He managed on Day 1 of play to literally pull the plug on it. Luckily I rescued it before he could prove to it that he's the man.
The good: Today was beautiful and Luca's fourth birthday so I reinflated the ball. The plug was pushed waaay in. Someone had asked the other day for a video so here it is:
The bad: The ball always ended up caught in shrubs along the fence, as you can see in the video. So I kept having to go rescue it. Often Luca was breaking pieces of shrubs that were blocking the ball : (
The ugly: I don't know if it was a tooth or more likely a sharp twig but the ball developed a triangular tear. It is now in intensive care and I don't know if I can repair it. It was fun while it lasted.

Aw, that's a shame, it looked like he was having such a good time with that ball!
PS: Have I ever told you I would kill for your yard?
He was having fun. There's got to be a impervious ball of some sort.
As to the yard, of course you did. I trying to draw up a list. The victim needs to be someone rich that I want to get rid of, who will leave me money so I can get another yard. All these requirements seem to be the stumbling block : )
It was nice. Both dogs got half a hamburger, too.
Look what I just found. Listed under zoo balls. See the lion gnawing on one. But somehow I don't think a 30" 70 pound ball that costs $340 is in our future. Back to the drawing board.
The 20" Herding ball is "only" $95, lol.
Oops, I forgot to say Happy Birthday, Luca!
Thanks.
Love the ball, hmmmmm I wonder how my two would react to it ? Sasha would probably be afraid of it and Oliver would do exactly what your dogs did with the plug. I just may give it a try because it looks like so much fun :)
That is a shame. I want to buy something like this. Are there any big balls for dogs to play with that last? I definitely don't want to waste money on something that will deflate after one use. Bexter's pretty rough on things.
I would love a big, non inflatable and tough ball that didn't cost a fortune.
oh thank you- you have given me an idea for finally using that abs ball I got years ago. It just sits in my office and mocks me daily. If it succumbs to puppy teeth - so what. :)
