In the landscaping around the pool in our yard, I have shells placed here and there from different beaches that we have been to. The last few days, Jack has been carrying them one by one over to the patio. He'll put one down, study it, then pick it up and reposition it, then trot off to get another. I have put some back and he has found them again.  And then he likes to sit in the middle of them and admire his work. It makes for some pretty tricky walking and maybe he's trying to tell me he needs some new outdoor toys! What does your doodle like to collect?

Sadie collects dishtowels (any kind of towel, really) and brings them into the TV room.

How funny! You wonder what makes them go for one thing or another!

Dudley is a towel collector also, but he also ranges beyond towels. See my other reply below.

JD doesn't collect anything, unless you count all the stuff that sticks to his coat, lol.

Your Jack is just adorable, though, with his shell collection! I wonder what he's thinking?

You are too funny about JD's coat!! I wonder too! He does it when he's outside by himself and it's quiet out. He's not one to stay out by himself too long, but for the few minutes he does, he collects.

That is adorable. Jack looks so cute and content in and among his shells. My Dudley is a relocator who concentrates on his indoor stash of stuffed animals. Most notably, at night after he goes outside to potty, he goes to his box of toys, puts as many stuffed animals as he can into his mouth - the numbers go up to 5, depending on the size of the toy, and then he carries them up to our bedroom to sleep with. He also relocates during the day from his box to living room to dining room, etc. He has been known to be sneaky and put something of ours in his mouth first - a dish towel, a sock, a shoe, a hunk of cheese, a bag of M & Ms - but he is smart enough to cloak the ill begotten booty with his "legitimate" toys. It's all very cute until you can't find something and have no clue where he has put it. DUDLEY! WHERE DID YOU PUT MY SHOE!!!!

This is funny--Sadie is a relocator as well. She likes to find clothes that I've left on the bed (or in the laundry basket if she can manage to access it) and take them in another room. She never really chews them, but she will chew "on" them--she'll take a bone or some other chew toy and put it on top of the stolen shirt or shorts or whatever she's thieved.

Oh Dudley, you are one sly guy! ;o)

My youngest grandson, Andrew, 4 years old, just asked if he could see a video of Jack collecting his shells and putting them on the patio. Not a bad idea, eh?

Dudley is too cute relocating his treasures! That is just adorable. I am amazed that he can carry up to 5, now that would be a picture! Jack has trouble with more than 2! I think Dudley may hold the record! I'll try for Andrew!! : )

Awwwww...that's just cute.  Jack with his treasures...he looks quite happy.  Must be his artistic eye that causes him to reposition them.  :)

Pat.. you must know.. our last name is Pollock, he is Jackson! ; )
