My groomer recommended Mal A Ket shampoo to prevent swimmer's itch. It's expensive ($99 for a gallon), but I ordered it online and got free shipping.
So far, it seems to be working. After a swim, I rinse the dogs off and wash them with the shampoo. Only catch is that they have to sit with the shampoo in their hair for 5-10 minutes. I worked out a routine that they have accepted:
1. dog1 goes in shower, gets rinsed, shampooed, ears cleaned
2. dog 1 leaves shower, sit/stays next to me
3. dog 2 goes in shower, gets rinsed, shampooed, ears cleaned
4. dog 2 leaves shower, sit/stays next to me, while
5. dog 1 goes back in the shower and gets shampoo rinsed off
6. dog 1 gets dried with towel, shakes, leave bathroom
7. dog 2 re-enters shower, gets shampoo rinsed off
8. dog 8 gets dried with towel, shakes, leaves bathroom
9. I change my clothes which are now completely soaked
10. dogs get blowdried, ears dried
11. dogs and I take a nap
Phew.

Do you do this once a week or everytime the dogs swim? My dogs in the pool almost everyday I can't imagine doing that routine everyday. I barely can brush him and dry him at the end of each day. God bless you sister!
