Jennifer and Jack Thursday update

Sorry this took me so long to post. I think Jennifer put it on FB around 1 or 1:30. I have been gone all afternoon with DD seeing her surgeon after Tuesday's ACL replacement. xoxo DK friends!

Sorry for the delay in updates. I literally have someone in my room doing some sort of test. My fevers are trending downward....my cultures remain negative...both good things..however I still have a fever. The plan is to watch me over the weekend ..if fevers remain they will want to remove device. I don't have e a very good trust with the doctor who put the closure device in my heart considering I was septic and he didn't do blood work to check me, plus i found out off the record this is not the best most experienced open heart surgery place. THank God for Cynthia and Marcus ( my Providence Hospital family) I am hooked up with amazing heart doctors and surgeons so as soon as I an stable I am leaving here and going home to Providence to take care of me. My mom will be close by and my dad and his wife will fly in. I feel the most at peace with this. providence is an amazing amazing heart hospital that I am proud to call my employer and family. I trust them with my life .... I am so sorry I have missed calls, been cranky and short...this is tough. Still big decisions but having my family and being home and in very capable hands will make it alright. Thank you for your love, I have very low temps but temps none the less. Xoxoxo

This is better news then we anticipated, right? I thought for sure she would be in for open heart today. Glad that is not the case and especially glad that she may go home for the follow up care.

Please God, let her go home where she will be comfortable and well taken care of.

Thanks for the update Bonnie, this is why I jumped on this evening. I could have checked FB first but I want to be surrounded by DK whatever the news.

Once again, Bonnie, thanks for the update.

Jennifer - so glad to hear of the downward trend in your fevers and the continued negative cultures.  Also glad to know that you'll be going "home" to a hospital where you'll be close to friends and family and where you have TRUST!!!  Will continue to pray for improvement!  Yea for good plans!!!!

It's alarming. No wonder she wants to go to Providence where she knows the people personally and can expect to be well cared for. Hoping she can go there soon.

Bonnie thanks for the update.   Haven't stopped thinking about Jennifer and wishing her a full and speedy recovery.
