My Poor Bald Doodle

I want to scream or cry or both. I just picked Nelson up at the grromer nad they shaved him including his tail. I have used them before and they always did a beautiful doodle cut.  Will his tail grow back?

When I take Bodi to a new groomer I print out one of the awful (sorry) pics of a shaved doodle on DK.  Then I tell them, "DON'T DO THIS!"  Looking for a new groomer now . . . mobile groomer went out of business and the other place I used gave the wrong dog to someone and that poor dog knew he wasn't with the right people and ran away - never found.  So sad . . . .and so I don't want to take my baby there!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes - it will all grow back!

That's what I was wondering too! Didn't the people know it wasn't their dog? Didn't they wonder why their dog wasn't happy to see them? I'd love to know the rest of this story!   What a nightmare that would have been!

Here is the story. It has a very sad ending though. Little TeddyBear was found dead. :( I'm with Lisa I would be calling a very good attorney.  I don't know if a groomer's insurance company would cover this type of thing or  not. Anyhow, nothing would bring the little guy back!

There was a medical emergency and someone else picked up the dog.  They didn't know each other.  Then the dog escaped - the people who picked him up felt terrible . . .they searched for days.  So sad.

Both stories are just horrible. Who would have known how the day would end when they dropped their babies off at the groomers! :(

Exactly why I started grooming Tara myself. The groomers just couldn't get it. They either shaved her or made her look like a poodle. Never had the tail shaved though, that is BAD!  It all grows back and Tara always seemed to love the shave down so that made it a little easier to bear and Nelson probably doesn't mind either!  So sorry!

Did the groomer say his tail was matted? I just spent over an hour the other night combing Matt's from Murphys tail and it is not only time consuming, he is very sensitive In the whole tail region making it uncomfortable for him. I'm sure most groomers don't have the time to comb out the tail so shave instead. I am getting ready to shave down both of mine for the summer, as I really prefer it for the summer/swimming months. They seem to love it too.
