I strongly believe that bringing a well behaved dog to work is very beneficial for all the parties involved: you, your co-workers, clients, and your dog. CBS recently aired this clip about a study that confirms this. Could somebody please let my boss know?

I'm to lucky to be working from home and can be with TaraBear all day!  I know she makes me happier! I'll give your boss a call!

I work from home Tue and Thu, and recently I was able to take Monty with me to work as well. Once my office got moved to the same building where my boss is, she asked me to "find a different arrangement" for Monty. Somehow, I don't trust people who don't like dogs.

Time to look for a new job! :)

I'll call your boss too!
I am a dietitian and worked in a hospital most of my career.  Since I didn't share an office, one winter I got permission to bring Rosco to work with me.  When I'd have outpatient nutrition counseling appointments I would ask each patient if it was okay for my dog to be at their appt.  Most, if not all said yes.  One woman was allergic.  If the patient said no I would put Rosco in my car (which DK has scared me about now).  But once the weather warmed up I had to stop bringing him because I had nowhere to put him if a patient didn't want him for the appt.  s

I have Riley with me most days and when he can't be he is with my partner at his work and that's great for all of us.  I had to laugh that the study was done by Prof. Barker, what a great name for the task in hand : )

I have brought my doodles to work but rarely do now. Two fairly big doodles, me and one other person in a small office is tricky. Sometimes if someone really wants to see the doodles I schedule things so I have just the one appointment at a quiet time since other people share the waiting room and public areas the doodles get antsy.

I work on a computer and sit in my office by myself the whole day. I see no reason why a dog should not be present. Having Monty in the office reminded me to get up a few times a day, stretch out, and go for a lunch walk with him. I think it was good for my health.

I think it was good for everyone's health. Too bad your boss hasn't read the report. boo!

I took Bodi to school today (Saturday). He had a blast running up and down the hallways!  He sniffed inside every desk and every cubbie.  Somehow with a room of 7 year olds I think it might be different!  I agree though, that for many people having their dog at work would be a great stress reliever!

I wish I could bring Shelby to work.  I have a pretty stressful job - but no dogs... I work on a University campus.  My staff would enjoy having her around too!   I know she'd say her morning hellos and then curl up on her bed in my office like she probably does at home, but it'd be so nice to have her here.... especially since I often have to work after 5:00pm!

I work at a University as well. I know several people who bring their dogs to work, mostly academic advisors. The campus is really dog friendly. Except for my boss.
