I once posted about my leash & collar obsession - Rooney & Stuart have matching leashes and collars for every holiday and various themes and since that time I have added to the collection.  So yesterday I decided to clean out a few drawers and little storage boxes and I came across my finger nail polish collection.  I decided I should go through it and get rid of the old stuff, colors I don't wear any longer, etc.  I remember doing this about 6 months ago - so how come I still have so many bottles?  Do I have a problem?  It got me to thinking - what other things do I have to excess?  Hmmm - my hotel card-key collection?  My cookbooks?  Lipstick?  So confess tell me what you have too much of and post a photo!

lol! When I get my house I will have to get a cabinet. Right now they are spread out all over, wherever they will fit. One reason why I keep a collection of work shoes is because I have no place to store them at home. The main reason is the walking to and from.

I think I get this. You walk to work, so you wear comfy shoes (or boots in bad weather) to and from work, and put these on when you get there.

exactly, you got it!

I have one closet devoted entirely to shoes.  I'll take a picture tonight.  There might be about 50 pairs of shoes currently.  Before I made this my shoe closet, I went through my shoes, and gave away over 50 pairs.

I'm ashamed that this is such a mess - my bad but this is but one of several of my shoe areas.  I have for the most part stopped buying them, have donated most of them - but boy oh boy do I love a pretty shoe.  Because even when you are too fat to buy cute clothes - you can ALWAYS buy shoes!!

awesome! It looks like the inventory room of a shoe store! And I agree, a great pair of shoes always makes you feel like a million bucks.

omd, i need that closet!  awesome.

Too much Jake stuff.....he has a better stocked medicine cabinet then anyone in our house..........

First, I envy your nail polish collection.  I have too many craft/sewing supplies that haven't met their project goal and today I have way to much mud in my house after the rain!

Lets see, I have purses.  When I get depressed, I buy a purse.  My granddtr plays with a lot of them.  Then there is my books and now my Nook that is always with me. My favorite books is my medical books from the 1800's and up to when I went to school.  My goodness, the things that have chged!!!! Moneypenny and Lucy have numerous collars and leashes, but their toys, I should be ashamed.

BLS (That's before Lucy and Sophie) I was always collecting something.  When we were 1st married and living in England it was David Winter's Cottages and teddy bears, then when we lived in Las Vegas I started a Menu collection, trying to get one from everywhere we ate.  For years they were in a collage on my Dining Room wall.  Then I went to work for US Shoe Corporate which eventually became Nine West Corporate and developed a shoe and handbag habit (most were free or greatly reduced though).  Then it was chickens, then in FL it was shells.  Now that I have Lucy and Sophie it is definitely dog stuff.  Way way way too much dog stuff.  I will admit we have greatly downsized in this last move though and my need for stuff has greatly diminished.  Now that we are retired I live in T-shirts and flip flops and rarely buy things that aren't for the girls!  And I gotta say, I love it!

Oh, Jane!  Cookbooks!   I have over 200 of them, and rarely cook anymore! ( Or maybe I just don't cook as much as I used to)  I just love reading them and have purchased many at the local library book sales.  Often these books come with personal notes and several even have had special recipes cut out of newspapers inserted in them, one even had a special cake recipe that was entered into

a major contest.   I want to get rid of some of them, but just can't bring myself to do it.
