Emergency Re-home Needed for Northern CA Goldendoodle

Passing along some information--a northern California Goldendoodle needs an emergency rehome. Please pass this along to anyone that may be able to help this sweet, big boy.

 

We are looking for a family for an emergency rehome; male Goldendoodle, loving and gentle with children. He has been in a guardian home but there are personal issues and we need to find a home for this boy. He is non-shedding, 70 lbs (a big... boy but sweet!) He has sired some of our best pups...he plays well with other dogs and is a very loving companion. He does mark sometimes so will need a belly band and training for that. We'd like to place him in northern CA but will consider a different location for the right home. He is not a kennel dog, He needs a loving family. I just noticed this comment on their Facebook site...looks like he could go as just a pet for the right situation.

He is 4.5 years old, born December 2007; we could place him as a guardian or pet, we are open to any option, at this time I just need to get him into a good home...he is currently near Mt. Shasta in CA, but if I need to bring him here, I will in the next few days.

I am sure he would be placed in a good home much more quickly if he were neutered.

All--to clarify, this is my understanding:

The goal is to have Swany neutered and placed in a forever home. There is one situation that might leave him as a breeder but it would still place him in a forever home. There are a couple of families (I guess one on this forum) that are really interested in taking Swany into their family as a pet -- in this more likely situation, he would indeed be neutered. Right now, the most important consideration is finding the very best possible "forever home" for this sweet boy!

I am the breeder placing Swany and I am sorry that you have not heard back from me but I have not received anything from you that I can find...how have you tried to reach me? I have no phone message and I don't have any pending friend requests...I am sorry, I would have responded.

I am very sorry that you are facing this cancer battle with your current dog and I wish that we could help. We have a home for Swany, I think, we need to make sure that everything works out but I don't expect any problems with the placement.

I don't ship my dogs in air cargo either so transport to Washington would be difficult.

I appreciate Diane's post on DK and also the concern, comments and good wishes. It looks like we have a very good home lined up for Swany so he is no longer available.
