The new Harpo

Well, we did it.  Harpo has been cut down and no longer has his dreads.  It will be easier to keep him clean after trips to the beach and walks, but it will take a little getting used to.  Here he is pre-cut and post-cut.  I think people will say "Is that some kind of poodle?"  It will be interesting to hear comments at the obedience class tomorrow.

Nothing wrong with poodles.  My husband just learned to groom on poodles and kind of naturally goes that way.  It is a joke with us because a lady in San Juan Bautista saw Groucho Too and turned around her SUV and came back to ask us, "Is that some kind of poodle?"  So we always say that too.

I second F's question: What's wrong with poodles? If it wasn't for poodles, there wouldn't be doodles!

Nothing at all wrong with them.  We started out with poodles.

Yes, we'll have to get used to this. doesn't look like our Harpo!!! Is that some kind of poodle:)....lol just kidding. He looks great. Does he like it!!!

I think so, but it was a long time on the grooming table (even for us and we took turrns).  It surprised me but he really does like to be brushed.  We will have to do more of that.  He wasn't brushed when he had dreads and I think that was why he loved to roll in the dirt and on the wet beach sand.  We will see if he continues to do that, but at least he will be easier to bathe.
