Since yesterday the garden has been giving me some angst. Luca is all too interested in my falling down shed, no doubt the woodchucks are in residence underneath. I do have to have the shed taken down but that's a project. I had my sons and Sarah out yesterday. Sarah was out taking pictures when she saw Luca saw a chipmunk come down the tree. She looked away and next thing there was a dead body. Today I was just strolling outside when I saw a yellow and green, good sized snake. No doubt a garter snake . I hustled the dogs in and when I returned to the garden the snake was gone. At least this removed my dilemma as to how to move it. This garden is becoming a bit much  for my nerves.

But then I concentrated on the good, peaceful part of gardening. The trumpet vine is starting to bloom and I will try to preserve it as much as possible when the shed comes down.

The daylilies are joining the hydrangeas, which have been in bloom for a while:

And perennials like this hardy alstroemeria Sweet Laura are blooming now:

What's blooming in your garden, show us!

I just love that lavender Day Lily, F!

Thanks, me too. Come and get some, I'll divide it for you : )

Beautiful! I absolutely love trumpet vines!

My red and yellow daylilies are blooming but my purple one is a late-bloomer and is still in the bud stage. I'll have to post photos when the flowers open.

I have geum blooming, coreopsis, the daylilies, and a little bit of bee balm (didn't do well this year). Most of my perennials are not flowering as well this year as they usually do, I think due to the early and continued heat.

Maybe I'll go get some photos. After I charge the camera battery, lol.

Pictures are always welcomed : )

Critters and slithery creatures aside, your garden is GORGEOUS. Oh, how I envy your beautiful, peaceful sanctuary!

Thanks. You are never one for superlatives.

F.   Your garden is beautiful!  Love seeing the pics of your different plants.

Thanks.

Well, in Urban Planning, there is a theory about taking out and destroying places where there is trouble.  (It) moves and scatters and breaks apart but never goes away.    What you have then are small cells of trouble for awhile. Harder to keep an eye on ' the problem' when you scattered the problem all around.  ( I see groundhogs in the garage  )

Leave the shed   :)  I Love it and the trumpet vine.

All pretty pictures.

I'm just afraid it will fall down and hurt some doodle.

Ahhh.  It must go.  Is there something you can have installed to help the trumpet vine gravitate to when the shed is gone?

I'm thinking about that. Where is Roger when I need him ? : )
