Need Some Reassurance- does our puppy look like a Goldendoodle?

After much discussion, and a terrible purebred beagle that caused us 15 years of grief, and both having a great love for Golden Retrievers but lacking appreciation for the cloud of shedded hair that follows them we decided on a Goldendoodle- and we are syked!

 

We put a lot of time and effort into finding a breeder with impeccible health records- both parents are OFA, CERF, PennHip, etc.  The mother is a gorgeous golden retriever and the father is a handsome standard red poodle.  He is not our cup of tea but we can see why he is studed as he is good looking and in great health.

 

We told the breeder that we did not want a blonde puppy so when the litter was born we opted for a red puppy.  We have received a number of pictures from the breeder and I have to admit that the older she gets the less she looks like any Goldendoodle we have seen.  In pictures she seems more brown now than red and her face just lacks that Goldendoodle look.

 

We are picking her up this week and truth be told once she is here she will be as beloved as any dog ever was but hoping that some members can weigh in on whether she looks like a Goldendoodle? Also has anyone had a red coat that lightened significantly, would love to see some pics; has anyone seen fur like this on a puppy and what should we expect it to turn into; and lastly does her snout look especially long?

 

As said, we are all in, but would love to see what our girl might look like in the future.

Definitely a doodle! Coopers snout is long and thin - very poodley, but if you look at my page at her photos you will see that her face looks very stocky due to all the fur!!!!

What a beautiful puppy!  We worried for months that Grover would never "doodle" and he has turned into one of the handsomest we've seen:)  He was a darker apricot/red as a pup and has lightened a bit.  This is him on his first day with big sister Scrappy:

definitely a doodle!  and a cute one at that!  They usually don't have the fringe on their faces right away.

To this... Within a month!  They go through a lot of changes as puppies!

And now she looks like this!  She just turned a year old and she is a beautiful, fluffy, sweet girl!

I love Sophie's markings!  What a beautiful pup, and Bailey's puppy picture reminds me a bit of my Darwin, I'll be lucky if Darwin is anything like Bailey!

It's so interesting how different doodles can look..even from the same litter!  Your pup definitely looks like a doodle pup to me!  My puppy is just about to be 11 weeks..and i've noticed in the short time I have had him he's gone through a few changes already.

I think she looks like a doodle, they change so much from puppy to adult. I also think she has a good start at staying red, she is pretty dark compared to some others on DK.
