We foster for a local rescue group so our girls are very used to having litters of puppies in the house.  Soph is so good with the babies and she just loves them.  This litter we have had since they were just a few days old, so we have bottle fed them and raised them from the start.  They are now just shy of 6 weeks old and I am pretty sure they think Soph is their mommy.  The three of them follow her around everywhere she goes and she looks out for them.  She loves being the "mommy" to all the foster babies that come through our house.  Here are a few pictures of the little cuties and their pseudo mommy :)

We think they are hound/lab mixes of some sort.

Wow, thank you all so much for all the support, you are all wonderful.  This is why I love DK so much :).  The girls are so wonderful with the puppies and they teach them so much.  When they no longer have their mom around, they learn so much about how to be a polite puppy from the girls.  Each and every foster that comes through our home takes a little piece of our hearts with them when they leave.  This is especially true for the bottle babies who we have raised from the start and get to watch go through all of the incredible developmental stages.  You fall in love with every single one of them, but seeing that moment of love at first sight when their new family meets them makes it all worth it.  These little ones all already have home lined up for when they are old enough and it is wonderful knowing how excited they are for their new puppies to come home.  Fostering is easily the most rewarding thing I have ever done, and when these babies are ready to leave me, I will be waiting for the phone call for the next dog or litter of puppies who needs me to help them find their forever home :)

If you have ever considered fostering, try it!  I promise, you won't regret it :)
