Understand that I have only taken two courses in Nutition. Certainly not enough to make a knowledgable statement in this discussion but I did take away one important concept from that course work- supplements are HOKUM in most circumstances. Enough said, I'm out.

AMEN Sista!  The knowledge, research and experience of the Karen, F., Adina, Allyson and others has been invaluable to me.  If one spent any amount of time on this site they would recognize their wealth of knowledge and contributions and be more careful about saying things like "uneducated" or "uninformed."  It really burns me when posters do not take the time to get to know the culture and the contributors of a forum before jumping in :(

Joanne - Did Audra's offer of "new stuff to think about" actually "get your mind going" as she suggested it might???  I got in late on this discussion, but the last sentence of your reply made my day!  I am still giggling!  I too have fingers in my ears and singing "la de da I can't hear you" to any further comments made like that one!!
