OK I'm just curious? Do poodles point? I didn't think "retrieving" dogs point. But Finn has pointed at things since he was a pup. He points at birds, squirrels, deer, and also at large unknown obstacles ... like lawn chairs in the middle of the lawn. He also loves to retrieve. So I'm just curious. Does your ALD point?

yup

Great shot! Beautiful coat too! Yep, that's a point :) Thanks.

Absolutely. Charlie points at all kinds of things. He is a big hunter so whenever he stops and points I am sure that there is some sort of "wildlife" around.

Lots of my dogs--doodles included-- have pointed now and then--isn't pointing a part of retrieving? I also have a "herder"--she is happiest when she has everyone in a corner--

Looking it up online, I found that there are certain lines of labs that do point and retrieve. I couldn't find anything on the other breeds that make up the ALD. I had herding dogs before. I know what you mean about ending up in the corner LOL.

I think that might be the "ready to POUNCE" pose!!

I called my Cassie "my great white hunter". She was coal black and she hunted anything. Silly girl would stand and point at all the lizards here while they were running and hiding from her. We had a great time.

Another "YES" from my doodle as well! He points, retrieves and stalks! What a doodle-pants!

ha ha -- Finn points and pounces to Ginny's point (whoops, no pun intended). I don't think he has the patience to stalk. Doodle joy gets the best of him every time! Makes me laugh.

My Rapha points. We noticed it the first week we got him.

Welcome to DK! I love Rapha's name and he's adorable.  More  pictures please.

Welcome Rapha, you are adorable
