So sad that people don't pay as much attention to dog product recalls as they do people food recalls. How many more have to die before they are removed from the market?

So very sad that people keep buying bad treat for their dogs without even thinking about it and the poor dogs are the ones paying the price.

Exactly.

So sad that they are on all these store shelves for people to buy

It makes me sick to think that I was just in the grocery store this past weekend and they were still sitting on the shelf....."because they don't have enough evidence yet"...GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

I agree. Just because something is sold in a store, doesn't mean you have to buy it. Stories about dogs dying and being made ill by products from China have been in the news for 5 years.

I called my brother and his wife yesterday just to remind them to look at labels closely and make SURE that the treats are MADE IN THE USA....not just packaged here.  They checked the duck jerky they had been giving their dog and sure enough it was made in China (in small print) but it said "Made for and Distributed by",  some USA company.  They were so grateful for the call and they tossed the treats in the trash right away.  I know that they are aware of the China thing but....they didn't look closely enough.  My point is.....it doesn't hurt to KEEP telling everyone you know to check labels!!!!  It is the least we can do until this country wakes up and gets these things off the shelves!!!!!!

How tragic. And a good reminder to everyone to be extra diligent in your research when looking for treats for your dog.

How true!

It is truly sad but it sounds like the dog who died had bloat. It might not be related to the jerky.
