This just breaks my heart.  Why don't people really take the as much time understanding their dogs as they do picking out toys and water bowls??? If they did, they'd know these unselfish beings love and hurt ...and they have souls. Dumping one would be as unthinkable as leaving a child.  Just say no to that cute puppy if you're not going to love them and keep them close forever.  Finney's not a rescue but I've worked in rescue, and have had rescued 2 dogs in the past and I think a rescued dog has a special gratefulness and bond when he finds that second bond.  I've seen it so often.  Where are those tissues...

I certainly can't watch this - but really the same situation happens way too often when people have children. Once the cuteness and fun wears thin and the real work starts - they give up and mentally/emotionally check out. Dogs/kids - kinda the same. Kids don't often get dumped but it does happen, or they are killed - or just ignored. So many dogs dumped - so many kids in trouble.
