GREAT!
Yeah ... one down, how many more to go?
Yay, yay, YAY!!!!!!!!!
Although this is good news - I think we should wait and see before we get excited. They may just be changing how they operate - changing name etc. Also, this may create a "vacuum" that will be filled by someone else. Hunte is still out there.
Until all the brokers and mills are shut down we must remain vigilant.
Sadly, I had this exact thought--what if it's just a name change? Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. I just hope they're not simply regrouping in response to what they call the "increasing rules and regulations and pressure from animal rights groups." (And which I call "a lot of hard work by a lot of wonderful people.")
Whatever name they use, they are still going to have rules, regulations, and pressure from animal groups. Unless, of course, they go to straight internet sales, like Purebred Breeders LLC.
It wouldn't really help, because brokers usually sell to stores, not directly to the public. The people buying the puppies never heard or saw the name "Lambriar."
It's more important for public education to make sure people understand that all pet store puppies come from puppy mills, and to stay out of them. Also, to educate people about on-line puppy brokers who do sell directly to the public, like Purebred Breeders LLC.
Please excuse my ignorance but I have never heard of Purebred Breeders LLC until I just read it here. I went to the site and found it to be very "slick" and professional looking. They certainly "sound" like they have their act together and I can see how folks would assume they were dealing with reputable people. Are you saying that they get the puppies from puppy mills? Wow.....if that is the case....consider me "educated"!! How do we get the word out??
It's out, lol. Major network news stories and investigations. Discussions, here, too.
Yes, every puppy on the site is from a puppy mill.
Sorry, I guess I live with my head in the sand. I will remove it.

That's only a sample, and they include videos. I could fill up this page with links and reports. And do a search here on DK for the name.
It's discouraging to me that anyone would think that any legitimate and reputable breeder would sell a puppy through a broker. That just does not ever happen.
Again, sorry! I am learning. I will say this.....if a lifelong animal lover like me has not heard of these things then you can be sure that most average citizens out in the world don't know either.
