Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi all, Murphy and Bella here! As most of you know our favorite doodle Jack is the reason we all have this group and all the wonderful information on it that has made all of us doodles get the best food and care possible.
Jack has been a pioneer in teaching us all about food allergies, and what to look for in foods and how to make our people the best pet owners in the world.
We have been saving our pennies, mostly from the soda can mom keeps putting up on the counter to keep us from counter surfing (don t tell her) and we want to give JD a gift from us to thank him for just being JD! He has given us all So Much!
Murph and I figured, if we feel this good about thanking JD , then we'd like to share in this "paying it forward" feeling and invite anyone who would also like to thank our hero Jackdoodle.
All of our thank you's will go directly to JD and he and his mom can decide how to best use our gift.
We will post a paw friendly link soon, so you can all send a big slobbery kiss and any pennies you can get out of your soda cans! So start counter surfing!

A big thank you to JD! Luna has grown up with JD teaching us about how to give Luna the best diet possible. She now eats like a queen and has a super soft, shiny coat!
Paws up for Jackdoodle!
Two Paws Up for Jackdoodle from Rooney and Stuart!!!! Get that link going - we are off to go bust into our piggy banks.
Jack Doodle is our idol and his Mom is pretty cool too. We've been feeling pretty bad about Jack being sick and now the big guy is even having trouble playing ball. Count is "in" on this thank you gift. We want to thank Jack & Karen for helping our Mom to keep us healthy and telling her all about "home cooking". We'll be looking for that link.
Great idea. I had been wondering how we could help out with Jackadoodles escalating veterinary expenses. I would love to make a contribution. Can't wait to find out how we can help.
Dear Friends,
There is no need to thank me or my mom, we are happy to help all of our doodle friends any way we can! But it makes me feel really good to know that you want to do something special for me. I have to admit, it's been kind of rough this past year. I miss my old food and treats, and I don't like taking so many pills, and now I'm having trouble playing ball, but I know my mom and my doctors are trying hard to help me. Thank you for wanting to help me, too.
I hope nobody gets in trouble for counter surfing! Be careful!
Love,
JD
We LOVE you JackDoodle and your Little Human too!
JD, we can't wait til you are back to all your old activities. But some of us have learned to take it slow and enjoy anyway--you should see the ambling walks we take.
Funny you used the word "ambling". Just now on our walk I was thinking how to describe a new symptom, maybe from the meds, and the word that came to my mind was "shambling". He's having this thing where when he's walking, all of a sudden, his back legs start to bow out and his hind end goes down, as if he were about to poop, but it's really that his back end is collapsing. It only lasts seconds, and then he can stand and walk again. I thnik it might be from the new meds, so I'm stopping them. They haven't helped him that I can see anyway.
What meds is he on now, Karen?
Still the Gabapentin. (Plus prednisone, Tylan, loratidine, and ranitidine for the IBD and the allergies, and of course his VSL3 and other supplements, and his allergy shots and B12 injections.) I spoke to the surgeon the other day and he said if the gabapentin isn't helping, I can stop it. Next step is an MRI, but I'm going to wait a week off the med to see if that new thing is from that.
Do stop the gabapentin IMHO.So sorry to hear about the back end being worse. An MRI seems the way to go. You know my way is knowing about what you have to deal with.
