Sometimes I compare my life to a flower. And in that analogy I'm at the almost ready to drop my petals stage and the late summer garden is not far behind. Lots of things have bloomed and are done. This hydrangea is done but some other types are going strong:

Some are reblooming like this Abelia and Spirea.

Others are still blooming like this Vitex Agnus Castus:

The phlox carries on:

The Rudbeckia too:

And the Goldenrod, look at all the insects, and Anemones are starting:

So what's happening in your garden now?

I really envy your garden - in all its stages. How lucky you are to have this to enjoy everyday!

I am lucky to have it. How's your mom's garden doing?

She found it to be too much work - haha! I give her a lot of credit for trying it! :)

I am not a photography buff so apologies on the quality but here it is......

The oakleaf hydrangea is fading....

The Crape Myrtle and Lamb's Ear are loving life..... The "Jenny is still Creeping".......

Lilyturf are blooming and Hostas have survived the hungry deer.....

Life is good in the woods and we are looking forward to the leaves turning.

You reminded me I took a close up of my Liriope, aka lily turf.

Also, you reminded me to look for my crape myrtle whcih flowers temperamentally and not all years because it's in a less than ideal place. Yours is lovely.

Thanks!  Your photos are so beautiful!  I am envious of your ability to capture such beautiful colors. Would love to see more of your garden.

I just happen to have an album, on my page, called Welcome to my garden. And of course lots of phptos in this group.

What a lovely yard. Love (and envy) the open space!

Thanks! We love being in the woods....except for the ticks (yuck).

Come join the Photography Group if you haven't yet. We have some real photograpers there.

I finally have a Moon flower!!!!!!! Wow, these are the most delicate flowers almost like tissue paper. There are lots more almost ready to bloom. The plant almost got killed with kindness by the guy who watered our garden while we were away.

Yay,  a success. I had none this year. That is the same as the ones I had, unlike an unamed J person's flowers. Just in time for frost :-) They are spectacular but ephemeral.
