Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Well, it may be a TAD early but Joanne mentioned that it was about time for a calendar discussion and I agree! You can never start too early!

Post your photos for critique, ideas or suggestions here. As well as any other questions about composition, editing, or anything like that. There are some seriously talented photographers in this group, it's great to take advantage of their knowledge! Below is a link to the photo guidelines from last year for submitting photos. I will post an update if the guidelines are different when Adina posts about it this year.

Also, it may be helpful for any who had their photos in the calendar last year, to post the photos they submitted, and the chosen photos. Then everyone can get a better idea of what works and what doesn't.

F I know I have taken this subject off topic ..but since I already did, did you buy windows for Mac? They offered that to me if that will help me, I can purchase that in the future?

I saw you were asking the question of a specific person but thought I might be able to help.    I bought Windows for MAC for my MAC machine.  Found I didn't care for it as I became more comfortable with the MAC app selections.   So decided it wasn't really worth it for me.    While it takes a bit of time to stop thinking like a PC and start thinking like a MAC you will probably find the MAC a lot more versatile and reliable.

No, I bought Windows per se. There is a function called bootcamp on you Mac and through that it runs Windows as an alternate operzting system you can select at start up. .My laptop is set to default to that. I'm still a Windows gal.

I also disabled the touch pad functios and did find a small program that allows me to right click. So I paid lots of money for my Apple and run it like a PC. But I can use Adobe flash etc. Also, the Apple store is near me and their customer service is superb.

I use iphoto all the time. When I take the pictures off my camera they automatically go to iphoto - I was asked and clicked yes.

The trouble I have is making a slide show and saving it to a dvd that will play on a pc computer.  My neighbor said I should use imovie but I haven't figured that out yet. :-{

You can drag your pictures out of iphoto easily to your desktop.  If I want to upload several pictures somewhere, I drag them to a folder on my desktop.

I do the same but I feel your pain, Jennifer.  In fact, I have dragged photos directly from iPhoto into the computer box on DK but then I haven't used some of the more sophisticated editing programs with these photos.

Jennifer, Did you try and email it as an attachment to Adina? Jack looks very handsome.

I did email it but I am not expecting anything.... Camilla did the photo shop.....I am enjoying it but it is a bit rough learning the IMac.... Thanks so much

You will hate it before you embrace it...LOL...I am so feeling your pain.

About Apple TRUE TRUE. It's a pet peeve of mine. :-)

So I have been using a MAC for 4 years and love it. That being said I cannot seem to get a picture to email as an attachment. It doesn't make any difference if I start with the email clicking on the paper clip, going to iPhotos and clicking on the photo or if I go to iPhotos and use share - email the picture shows up in the email but not as an attachment. It is int he body of the email so you see the picture when you open the email and the picture is very tiny.

Are you using the "MacMail" part?  If so you have a choice of size of the photo you are sending - bottom right corner of the e-mail gives you the option.  See if that works, if not you can go into stuff across the top and reset the picture size.

Maybe I missed it here, but can someone tell me how to make sure the photo I send through iPhoto is high rez -- or even to find out if it is high resolution?  My apologies if this is a dumb question, but I am often receiving, downloading, and sending out guest artist publicity photos and the designer comes back and says I need hi rez and the agent says I sent you hi rez photos. grrrrrr.
