Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Well, it may be a TAD early but Joanne mentioned that it was about time for a calendar discussion and I agree! You can never start too early!

Post your photos for critique, ideas or suggestions here. As well as any other questions about composition, editing, or anything like that. There are some seriously talented photographers in this group, it's great to take advantage of their knowledge! Below is a link to the photo guidelines from last year for submitting photos. I will post an update if the guidelines are different when Adina posts about it this year.

Also, it may be helpful for any who had their photos in the calendar last year, to post the photos they submitted, and the chosen photos. Then everyone can get a better idea of what works and what doesn't.

LOL Camilla I can't get it to work... I have no idea why.. Thank you... Yes this is my first picture, Camila photo shopped it for me..... Apparently Apple is a Cult and does not like to play nice with the other groups. I can't get my photos to cross over... THANK YOU CAMILLA.

Oh and I know it is just an average picture.. It is my first one... Jack is so naughty and no matter what looks the other way of the camera.. It is very humid here so I can not breathe to stay outside so long and until I figure out how to get the photos to cross over.. why bother..

Jennifer, try this....when you have your pic open in iPhoto go up to your toolbar on top left of your screen and click on "file", then scroll down and click "export", you are going to get a little box that asks you what format, hit the drop down and select jpeg and then hit export.  you will then be given the choice of where to export it....pick your desktop or in your picture file on your c drive.  You should then be able to come on dk, click the little image box, select get from computer and browse to your picture.  I HATE iphoto and I am feeling your pain as I have often cried, cussed and wanted to throw this freakin imac out the window.  I just tested the above steps and think it will work.  Let me know.

Thank you so much....I must have done something wrong...I did save it to my desktop but then when I tried to drop it, it didn't work..... I will get it...I will learn....right now it is frustrating....

I have a Mac and I have never used iPhoto....dear lord, what am I doing wrong? LOL

You are doing it right Laurie! iPhoto is Satan...lol. I don't use it anymore but have 4000 pics stuck in it.
What do you use now Ronna? The biggest part of why I got this computer is so I can do photos ....poop

You might try Lightroom 4 People seem to like it a lot on my other photography forums I belong to. It's great for organizing, and it's a great non-destructive editor.

I have something called Digital Photo Professional that came with my camera, I guess. Either that, or some gremlin installed it, because it has all my pictures downloaded by the date I transferred them from camera to computer.

And you have a Mac? I am going to try it thanks!

If you were asking me, I do have a 27inch IMAC, and I love it!!

Thanks Sue if Lightroom works for you, it should work for me......I may have to wait to purchase it..thanks o much
