They're my favorites too. That's why it's soooo hard to wait 3 years for her next book. She has the next one coming out early 2013!!!

Did you hear that Ron Moore might be making this into a miniseries? I hope that he stays true to the books. http://www.dianagabaldon.com/ They'll have so many upset fans if they get it wrong!

Wow, watched the video and love it.  She is definitely one of my favorite authors now and I have read all the books in the Highlander series.  Can't wait to see how they put together a musical about the characters.  Love, love, love Claire and Jamie.

A musical is interesting. They sure got Jamie right in the video IMO:)

I love the idea of a mini series. The books are so detailed it may be hard to put it all in but us fans...we can fill in the blanks!!!!

Actually, I think it is interesting to see another person's vision of the book.  It is always something different that you would have done it, but that is what makes the sharing interesting.  I never think in music, but many people only think in music.  Time travel is very interesting to me and I love that part of the story.

OMD - I am on the sixth book right now "A Breath of Snow and Ashes" and hope that there will be more coming along.  Early 2013?  That is just around the corner.  I have read the entire series and will read it again.  Love, love, love Jaime and Claire.

I'm almost finished with a discovery of witches and love it. Like christy i thought it started slow and now looking forward to book 2.

You'll LOVE Book 2. I hope she doesn't wait too long to come out with Book 3!!!

I am currently reading Behold a Pale Horse (William Cooper) and the Birth of Venus (Sarah Dunant).  They are not books for everyone and the subject matter is a little controversial, but I love them.  Historical perspective of Florence, Italy, if you like that.  Were they recommended here on DK?  I got recommendations somewhere.

I read Birth of Venus a couple of years ago. Interesting book. I enjoyed it and yes, I agree it's not for everyone but I love historical fiction

My husband just finished three murder mystery series set in Alaska.  Two are by Sue Henry.  One has an older retired woman as the main character.  She lives in Homer and travels in her RV.  The second series main character is a female musher. The very first book is about the Iditerod.   The third series is by Dana Stabenow.  The central character is a native Alaskan woman who lives in the bush  with a wolf hybrid. She is an investigator and solves crimes.

Hello All!  I am new to DoodleKisses, as I am anxiously awaiting my doodle the 2nd week of May.  Right now I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird.  I am almost half way through and still waiting for it to get exciting...ugh.  Is it worth me hanging on?
