Stephanie, that photo is priceless!
Finnley is very much like Jackdoodle. She usually starts out on the bed for bedtime snuggles, then gets down to lay in her own bed, or lying on the carpet next to my side of the bed. She has slept this way since the second night I had her, and it has been "sweet dreams" since then !
Well looks like mine will be a unquie one. Meggie sleeps UNDER the bed! She starts off with us and as soon as we turn off tv or lights she looks at us "I'm outta of here mom and dad" and army crawls all the way under the bed in the middle. Sometimes in the middle of the night or early in the morning we hear her crawling out and will come and spend an hour in bed before we get up. Sometimes I have to wake up though and look under the bed and tell her it's time to come out and she slept in :) When she had her puppies my breeder went into her room to check on her and her babies and she had taken each of her puppies and brought them under my breeders bed......so they had to block under the bed from her, silly girl
Maggie and KoKo both sleep in their crates in my bedroom. This has been their routine since they were pups and they really don't mind. I keep the bedroom door closed during the day because KoKo is a thief but when I do forget and leave it open they both can be found in their crates for a nap. Although they are 2 and 3 years old, I still crate them when I go out. Again, this has been our routine and no one is objecting.
Well Sadie has several beds of her own in strategic locations in the house and she uses them during the day.At night however she is in bed snuggled up with us.
She is like the rock of gibralter if you try to move her.Big girl though 80 lbs.
Our Ari always slept in the bed with us. When we adopted him at 10 months old we weren't 100% sure that he was potty trained, so we tried the crate thing. He seemed very unhappy with that, so we started letting him sleep in our bedroom. That's how we discovered that he was potty trained. At first he would only sleep on the floor, but the more comfortable he got with us, the closer he crept to the bed. After that, it was all over. The bed was his lol. I really do miss him being in the bed at night - and sometimes I still wake up and think he's there. My husband was just saying yesterday that he cannot wait for Noel to come home and be potty trained so she's able to sleep in the bed too. :)
Midas was always crated in our room...until he was about 6 months old and one night he threw up and i felt so bad like if hes sick and in his crate he probably feels bad and wants to be with mommy and daddy..and that prob wasnt the best idea cuz then he would have puked in my bed.. which he didnt thank goodness lol.. ever since then he has been free to roam our room.. we keep our bedroom door closed.. especially now with the tree up...i dont know if the tree would still be standing in the morning lol.. the thing with Midas is he is ALWAYS hot and panting..so he usually jumps off the bed and onto the rug..with his legs sprawled up against the wall to feel the coolness lol.. we keep the fan on YEAR round for him in our room.. he doesnt mind the crate at all..often times i find him in there sleeping..probably because its a lot cooler.. :)
