What do you think about Mane and Tail shampoo and Conditioner for bath time for doodles?

Has anyone ever used it.. Do you recommend it.

I have read it is the best.  And also when do you do the first grooming hair cut.

Hi, I have two suggestions. Join the Grooming Group as there is so much great info on there. That is how I learned to groom my two myself and what to look for in products and what to stay away from. Also, you can do a search on the Forum page for "Mane and Tail Shampoo" and many discussions will come up regarding people's opinions on that brand.
I did the first grooming when the hair was long and getting more difficult to control Matt's or took too much time to brush every week. Every dog is different.

We groomed her first around 4 months after her rabies shot. 

I haven't used the product you mentioned. My favorites are Buddy Wash (2 in 1) and Nature's Dog by Canus (soap bar). My dog has sensitive skin and didn't do well on ones that are all natural with oatmeal and known to be gentle. You may have to test several before finding one that works for your dog.

We have been using Mane & Tail with Cosmo since he was a puppy--the shampoo and the detangler spray. We don't use the conditioner.

I am allergic to a lot of fragrances (plus most animals), but the Mane & Tail products don't bother me.
