Can someone please post the link to the Champion letter for me here on this thread?  I'm trying to find the info on the Orijen Puppy and see that it may have a problem until mid-November just based on comments, but I haven't been able to find the actual letter.

I'd really like to try to gradually transition my puppy from homemade food to puppy food and I had chosen Orijen, of course... I bought my first bag today and the store was stocked, but now I'm concerned.

Thanks!
Shannon

Shannon, I can't copy the letter, the format won't allow me to, but it's on page 4 of the comments section here in the Food Group.

Thank you!  and I just called them too... bummer.  I think that I'm going to try to return that bag of Orijen puppy and try something else.  they recommended Acana Chicken & Burbank Potato.

Here's a link to their FB page, a copy of the letter is there.

I was able to get a copy of the letter that was sent to retailers:

CHAMPION PETFOODS KITCHEN REPAIRS

On Saturday, September 8 at 4:33 am, an equipment malfunction in our Morinville kitchens permanently damaged one of our two pet food dryers.

While our remaining dryer will be working overtime, our capacity is reduced by almost 40% for the next two months – the time required for our new dryer to be custom made, assembled and fitted into our kitchens.

To maximize our remaining capacity during the repair period, our kitchens will be limiting production to the following foods:

ORIJEN | Adult Dog, 6 Fish, Regional Red, Cat & Kitten ACANA | Wild Prairie, Grasslands, Pacifica, Ranchlands, Chicken & Burbank, Adult Large Breed, Senior, Lamb and Apple

YOU WILL STILL RECEIVE ORDERS DURING KITCHEN REPAIRS. Your distributor have food, we have 4.2 million KG of ACANA and ORIJEN in our cupboards, and we are still producing the above listed foods.

We are not ordering food to any new retail locations until sometime in 2013, and plan to send as much food as we can to your shelves.

We know this is unwelcome news, and ask for your continued patience and support while we install our new dryer.

Please note that our new ORIJEN FREEZE-DRIED FOODS and TREATS will still ship in late November. Our Freeze-dried foods are produced in Champion’s new Oakville kitchens, and are NOT aected by the kitchen repairs in Morinville.

Champion will respond to this challenge as we have in the past: with focus, dedication and teamwork.

I'm just seeing this?  So help me read between the lines-- we can or can't get Orijen for the next two months? Should I go buy two months worth now??

All of these foods are still being produced: ORIJEN | Adult Dog, 6 Fish, Regional Red, Cat & Kitten

ACANA | Wild Prairie, Grasslands, Pacifica, Ranchlands, Chicken & Burbank, Adult Large Breed, Senior, Lamb and Apple

Anything that is not on the list may not be available for another month or two.

Okay, phew!  Thank you!
