A dream come true! Tales (tails?) from the Doodle Cruise.

We started planning in July of 2011 and the Doodle Cruise was but a dream.  All the days of planning and waiting and finally it was here.  The chance to meet in person some of my DK IDOLS!  From the 1st moment it was truely like we were all old friends - because we really were old friends.  This past week was one I will never forget.  There were tons of laughs, some tears, dancing, way too much eating and drinking.  Doodle talk of course!!!  I am way to tired (and want to spend time with Rooney, Stuart and DH) to go into details - those will all come as people get home but I'll share a few photos with you all.  Oh and of course WE CAN'T TELL EVERYTHING - some things will have to stay on the ship.

As you can see, the heartache on this cruise was not Laurie's alone. ;-)

Seriously, we had a fantastic time which was made ten times better by having this group to 'comiserate' with. We'll post more pictures when our bag with the camera in it ends it's extended stay in Chicago (visiting Karen and Jack???)

I hope your camera finds its way back to WA, it would be very unhappy here and probably die of loneliness!

I see you had to close your eyes on this spectacle. My camera and other valuable things always come on the plane with me so if we go down we do that together too. Sure hope you get it back soon.

You know F, this lost bag was a carry on that they forced us to 'gate check'. I even told them that we were carrying this one because we didn't want to lose it for ANY period of time. They assured us that gate checked items NEVER Get lost. Ha!
I just checked and they tell me it is now in Portland... 18 hours later. :-)

What a pain! You can't believe anything nowadays. At least the bag is inching it's way home. We need to see some of those priceless pictures and I'm sure you have other things you want in there. When you get to be my age you think of something like the medication and my defibrillator are in there : )

Oh no.....lost luggage. When I checked in at the airport, they said we had 19 bags of luggage. Now, I know I am an overpacker, but I did not take quite that much :)  I hope you get your luggage soon. It was great meeting Adina and you!!

F, I didn't know that beforehand either :) It would have saved me the pain if I had! LOL  I would have kept John in his room.

Right. Pack him some nonperishable food for room consumption next time. You don't even want room service with those kind of people but I would hate to think of John starving.

Brenda - so funny!!  I, too, am missing all the amenities!  Can't just run up a few flights of stairs for a nice relaxing massage!!
