Jackson has been sleeping in a pin since the first day he came home. Recently, he started breaking out of his pin and getting into mischief. I had no choice but to crate train for his own safety. The transition was so easy, I can't believe i waited so long. l wasnt ready psychologically, i thought it was to much to seperate from his littermates then lock him in a crate. I was forced to make thw best decision for Jackson when I was concerned for his safety. Day one took him for his evening walk and put him in the crate. He just relaxed and went right to sleep. Amazing;)

He is just adorable. I am glad your transition went so smoothly.

That's great.....I'm a big believer in crate training for puppies.

I firmly believe in crate training.  Our Doodle loves her crate and it is a comfort zone for her!  We call it her bedroom and if we just say the word "bedroom" she goes right into it!  When we go somewhere during the day that is where she goes for her safety and our well being while we are gone.  I love crates:)

What a cutie pie :)   Crate training is the only way to go !!!  Make the crate a happy place for him to be where good things happen when he is in the crate =treats, nap, etc. etc.  Never punish and send to crate.   Dogs are den animals and need a place like a crate where they feel safe.  Crates give you piece of mind when you are not home !!!  Good luck and keep up the good work !!

So ture Barbara!  It is a "good" place for them!

He is just to cute. I hope my transition goes as smoothly. I did see Lily Grace willingly walk into a crate and lay down during my visit on Sunday. I just hope I do not ruin it. Good luck with that adorable boy.

I raise pups and attach a crate to the pen for them at the age of 4 weeks--they go right into the crate to sleep every time--it is a security thing. They usually like it! Glad you made the transition--it is better for everyone! Now start feeding your doodle dinner in there and give them treats in there and it will really be their favorite place! I have a 1 1/2 yr old male LD that goes in his crate happily for every meal and sleeps in there even though I don't close it up anymore.

You are doing a great job! Keeping that little Jackson safe is the most important job. What a cutie!
