A dream come true! Tales (tails?) from the Doodle Cruise.

We started planning in July of 2011 and the Doodle Cruise was but a dream.  All the days of planning and waiting and finally it was here.  The chance to meet in person some of my DK IDOLS!  From the 1st moment it was truely like we were all old friends - because we really were old friends.  This past week was one I will never forget.  There were tons of laughs, some tears, dancing, way too much eating and drinking.  Doodle talk of course!!!  I am way to tired (and want to spend time with Rooney, Stuart and DH) to go into details - those will all come as people get home but I'll share a few photos with you all.  Oh and of course WE CAN'T TELL EVERYTHING - some things will have to stay on the ship.

Is the all-inclusive resort idea off the table?

Most all inclusives are still going to require a plane ride and a pass port.  There are some very moderate cost ones in Cabo or Puerto Vallarta that I have been to - nice but the airfare is more expensive.

Hi Jane, I've been MIA on this discussion because I'm going crazy getting a 2 big concerts together for this weekend.  So just checking in.  I'm really hoping to go on the next trip because it looks like y'all had so much fun, and I'd love to get to meet everyone!  Late Oct. is better for me because of our concert schedule.  I like the idea of an all inclusive resort even if the airfare's a little bit more just because it would be a little different, some members who are nervous about a cruise might feel better about it, and I don't think you can ever top this cruise in everyone's memory (if that makes sense :)  That said, I'm "on board" for either option if I can make it work with my schedule.  Thank you so much for taking the lead again !!!!!!!!!!!

This is a place that I have been wanting to go with the girls!  Just thought I would toss it out there in case something like this might work for you guys.  I know that the Doodle Country Store Guys have gone with their 4 doodles at least a couple of times.  October would probably even work here as it wouldn't be so hot for the doodles, but would still be nice.  They are two and three bedroom units so people could double or triple up if they wanted to save costs.

This looks very nice but as Adina and Clark are looking at some Regional Meet Ups - this would be a conflict.  Plus the advantage of the Cruise or All Inclusive is that we Owners had time to spend with other Owners - we didn't have to worry about driving dogs or leaving them in a strange place while we went out to dinner.  In larger numbers this gets difficult but would be fun for a smaller group.
