At 11 AM yesterday, 7-month-old Gracie came in after romping and playing with her dog friend.  She immediately went to her bed and has not stirred for more than 24 hours except to go outside to do her business last night and this morning.  She potties and poops just fine, but is lethargic and won't eat or drink.  She wags her tail when we come to see her, but won't get up. I've read about parvovirus, and she doesn't have the symptoms.  Can dogs get flu-like viruses?  We're going on 28 hours for this illness. Can't decide if we need a vet or not.

Please get your dog to a vet NOW. A 7 month old dog who has been lethargic for more than 24 hours is ill and needs to be seen ASAP.

Barbara, I think you do need to take her to the vet.  It is very easy for a puppy to become dehydrated. I would call. Good luck!

You should go to the Vet Immediately. This is not normal behavior for a 7 month old.

Please keep us posted, good luck.

Yes please get her to the vet right away.  Let us know the outcome as soon as you can.

Hoping that you've gone to the Vet....please let us all know what you find out.  Praying everything is fine and this is just a scare.

Yikes--can't wait to hear how this turns out--I think she must have hurt herself while playing--one of my dogs once pulled a muscle and just laid around like that for a day or two but was eating just fine--I am hoping for the best!

Did you check her paws? Ollie wouldn't move when his paw pads tore when playing at the park...Like others already said, the vet would be best.

Barb, you didn't need to start a new discussion for the update, you can edit this one. I'm glad you took her to the vet, hope she'll be feeling better soon.
