I am hope I don't have to work (school district employee) THen we can play!!!
Any suggestions for willson he growls sometimes when I clean off his paws I just told him to stop,
Enjoy the snoow
As long as he didn't mouth you while he was growling, I would probably just ignore it -was he actually growling and showing teeth? or was he just kinda moaning at you? At 6 months - he is probably coming into puberty, and we moms know what that means!!! lolol When our Abby gets sassy, I just tell her to "be nice" in a tone of voice that lets her know I'm not happy. It usually works.
Good luck
Yea thats what he was doing not showing teeth just letting me know he wasn't too happy, but I will give a treat just like Karen did for Jack and I am going to spray his paws with pam Anything else I should know about coming into puberty, my first dog was a female thanks
Jack hates to have his feet wiped or cleaned off, it is always a struggle; he gets a treat afterwards, so I make sure he can see the bag of treats so that he knows what he will get if he co-operates. I keep a big towel near the back door and try to rub gently.
The growling, I hope some of the others here will address; I think it's not so great if a puppy (or dog) is making threatening noises at you when you are handling them. But I am far from an expert on this!
Hi I used Pam yesterday and it seemed to work I also did give Willson a treat and he really enjoyed that And Mary Beth We don't need any more snow here in WI Thanks but no Thanks HA HA HA
Willson is better now about his paws being wiped off I do let him melt a little first and also give him a treat when we are down. He did growl yesterday and I watched to see if he showed his teeth and he did just a little bit so I just let him relax a little first and then tell him to stop if he does it Now today he hasn't growled at all.
