Okay, East Coasters.... when you can please check in with us. I'm up in the middle of the night on the west coast, watching the news and wondering how all of you are doing!

We're actually fine and the worst seems to be over. Many parts of CT though are a mess and will be for days. I feel extremely lucky this morning.

One down and many to go, thanks for your update Jane. Thank Goodness!

Here in OH we are just getting wind and rain, many flooded areas but these are areas they typically flood with rain falls that are long. Expecting some basement floodings but thankfully all is well in the wind department (though I have yet to look at my roof).

Lisa, you must be getting used to 50-60mph. You and I are in the same place. LOL I suppose it is all the perspective. I take Wind really serious and the hours following storms are when floods begin. Maybe because I am surrounded by these old trees and a heck of a lot of water. Really looks like it varies in our area a lot. I work outside and no way was I going back after yesterday. They don't pay me that much

Most things are closed and I choose to stay home even though my job is one of the only places to stay open. Forget getting into trouble on the roads. Certainly, we are nothing like NJ and NYC. Most of our DK doodles are in NJ. Still watching to see when they return

Here's the Southern Ohio version of Sandy! What the heck! Rare to have snow before Halloween, but not unheard of. Someone said snow on the 30th means 30 measureable snowfalls this Winter! I certainly hope they are wrong!
