Okay, East Coasters.... when you can please check in with us. I'm up in the middle of the night on the west coast, watching the news and wondering how all of you are doing!

Good news, Rich & Sandy. Glad you were spared.
We got some pretty crazy winds and rain here in Ohio Yesterday and then we woke up to a blizzard outside this morning! It had only lasted a little while but Mr. Bodhi was going crazy as if he had never seen snow before. I let him out to pee and he started to run around so excited that he forgot to pee! I cant wait to play in the snow with him this winter! I hope everyone is ok on the coast!
Glad you are safe and Bodhi is having fun.
I'm saying my prayers that everyone gets their electric back on as soon as possible. Stay in, stay safe!!!
We were ready here in Binghamton NY as we were hit with the devastating flooding last september. We had high winds and some rain but nothing too bad. I hope everyone else in NYC and Jersey are holding on!!!! We've been in your shoes here in Binghamton. If you have flooded and have a home to clean up, please please please wear masks during clean up! A major issue in this area now is people having flood induced asthma and lung issues. There was also a lot of stomach issues so please wear gloves!
Such good warnings, Amy. Glad to hear you were spared.
So glad to see so many East Coasters checking in! It appears the storm was much more "spotty" then was forecast. Hope life returns to normal quickly for those of you affected!!!
Oh glad you are all ok. Hope the rest of the East coast DK'ers are ok too. I am praying for all of you!!!
Feeling pretty lucky here in PA - halfway between Philadelphia and NYC. Finn and I have power -- but many don't, so we feel blessed. We lost 2 large trees, but luckily the one closest to the house -- a 20 foot pine, fell in the opposite direction. Blessed again. I took Finnegan out about 10 PM last night for a bathroom break. I knew it was a foolish thing to do (next time I'll use the "leaves in the garage" trick). The winds were so strong we couldn't get more than a few feet from the house. Something metal blew past us scraping on the ground. Thank goodness for the command "go potty" and we headed back inside quick and stayed there listening to that wind howl. Finn was barking at the wind! Lots of trees down, privacy fences scattered like toothpicks, and roofs torn off. Nothing's open --it's kind of eerie, but I'm sure we'll get back to normal in a few days. I'm glad to hear from others that they are safe, especially F because I know Jersey was hit hard.
Thanks, I'm feeling lucky myself despite not having power. I do have enough power from the generator to be comfortable.
Take care of yourself, F. I'm glad you have a bit of power and are managing okay. Hug those doodles.
Will do.
