The best place to get this information is by joining the Puppy Madness group and the Food Group.

Check out the Food Group. There you will find a well researched list of recommended foods. You can feel very good about feeding your new puppy any of the foods on the list. It is also recommended that you not switch your puppy's food for 2 weeks after bringing them home. Use the same food that your breeder has been feeding. Puppies are so much fun! Good luck and enjoy, they grow so fast!

Thank you!  So much excitement on its way :)

Saw your post on the main page = no problem that you posted there, it is just that you can get so much support from the puppy madness and food groups.  If you could only join three groups, the three I would recommend are the Puppy group, Food group:  http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup   and the grooming group: http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/doodlegrooming

Thank you so much, very helpful :)

PLUS, you will feed her whatever the breeder is now feeding her for at least a few weeks, then gradually switch over to what you might want to feed her--so contact the breeder to get the name of what she will be eating when you get her. I use Wellness Just for Puppies until 6 months, then gradually switch over to Wellness Super5 mix--but again, the other folks have pointed you to the food group for suggestions and you will eventually find a high quality food that works for you.

Hi!  Congrats.  Like others have said, check with your breeder and feed her the same type of food for a while.  But we feed ours Taste of the Wild High Prairie Roasted Bison and Venison. :-)   She seems to like it!

Orijen.

Wow, Monreaux is handsome!

I feed jackson Blue Buffalo.  My Vet said the first year of development is so important. So she suggested for healthy coat and good development of bones and mucsles to choose a dog food that is middle of the road.  So not  Pedigree but not  Orijen.

So I was thinking Wellness or Blue Bufflo, I ended up selecting Blue Buffalo .  Stools are regular and coat is beautiful and soft. I also only give BB treats or carrots.  I have tried other treats but Jackson got diarrhea. Im not sure if this is coincidence but Jackson also got red discharde in his eyes when i was giving Bully Sticks, once i stopped eyes cleared up.

Thanks to everyone.  You have all been very helpful.  3days and counting!!
